Formula Drift has launched an app that aims to provide fans with news in an easy to use mobile format. The app, created by Hopscotch, is available for iOS and Android users from the AppStore or Google Play.
The app acts a social media hub to provide users with customizable live scoring alerts and stats, breaking news alerts, the ability to purchase tickets, view the driver roster, and uses the device location to connect fans with on-site activities.
“Formula DRIFT has an incredibly passionate, young fan base, and we are excited to deliver a new and better way for Formula Drift to engage those fans,” said Laurence Sotsky, founder and CEO of Hopscotch.
According to Ryan Sage, Vice-President and Co-Founder of Formula Drift, the app will also provide easy ways for fans to “earn free stuff” through a new Formula Drift fan rewards program.
The rewards program works exclusively through the app.
Users will be able to earn points by inputting loyalty codes in the “My Rewards” section of the app. Users can get loyalty codes by purchasing merchandise, tickets for an upcoming event, attending the events, following FD on social media and watching the live streams.
